Season Greetings to Family and Friends

Each of you has added a special gift to my life,

A gift of caring, of love, of listening with your heart, 

It might not appear to be any thing  special to you,

But to me:

It is more precious than the riches to be gained, 

Each of you has given me a thought, a lesson, added wisdom,

And there was joy and gratefulness left in my heart. 

And  this is the purpose in life, our task,

To spread some kind of caring, some kind of love.

I thank all of you for the gift of love, encouragement, the care and friendship that each has extended to me in their own way

 during those last years of changes and sometimes hardship that I had encountered.

Clearness of day, rivers swelling,

On and on, no time for dwelling.

Here and gone, yet eternally the same,

New and old, the melody, the theme.

Unchanging change, life,

Forceful and greedy in it's strife.

Containing the river like catching the wind,

Death not a thought, fear absent.

Embracing the shores,  touching,

Getting to know, then passing.

Surging onwards, memories containing,

Questions unanswered, for ever remaining.

Sameness and change, uncanny,

What counts is the journey, the journey, the journey -
